I remember the guide on my first Kenyan birding safari remarking that “birding groups always see far more mammals than those who come just to see animals. We also saw a leopard, but it was the A to Z that sticks in the mind. Only in Africa is it really easy to see a big variety. Why not the stoat family or the badger family?)

In 2019 I joint-led my seventeenth safari in twelve years with Capture Africa, we are a good team. The birdlife here is wonderful, a ten-night safari should give you over 200 species, (2018 & 2019 both gave us 242!). While we look for animal tracks, you’ll see so much else as we go.
