Contrary to alleged preferences among humans, the golden-headed cisticola has a shorter tail during the breeding season ( source ).

The photos in this post were taken in 2015 and 2016 – I was not only an amazingly attractive, almost young person then, but also a surprisingly bad photographer. A Red-billed Blue Magpie pretending to be a wet dog. However, with time it has gotten better at rejecting eggs that do not mimic its own eggs well.
