I am posting this here because they had an exhibit of skinny pigs billed as “African naked mole rats.” The zoo also allows patrons to pay to interact with certain animals, allowing kids to flop around with them in enclosures. The skinny pigs had no enclosures. McCormac: wbmayor@twp.woodbridge.nj.us

Wildlife conservation is concerned with protecting wildlife at the level of species or perhaps population. One of the first examples I ever encountered was in the books of Gerald Durrell, the famous conservationist who was an early pioneer of the roles of zoos in conservation.
