Adopt a shelter pet stamps from the postal service were just revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show! The 44-cent stamps feature photos of five cats and five dogs who were all adopted from shelters. The sad fact is that every year, 6 million to 8 million cats and dogs enter animal shelters and, of that number, nearly half are euthanized.

There are TONS of amazing dogs (and other animals) just waiting in shelters and rescues.
