My 7mo sheepadoodle mini puppy is recovering from being neutered on Monday. We say no, he stops for a split second and he goes right back at it. He is healing well and aside from the normal swelling and redness, he is his old self. I feel bad for him. on wounds.

Flex is a handsome, neutered male, red fawn greyhound (currently under 60 pounds). One wound (the one on his front right leg) was to the bone. He has been vetted and is healing nicely. Dogs they can not place in foster care or find adoptive homes for are euthanized after 14 days by county ordinance. Their shelter is full.

Most shelter animals are spayed or neutered, have been treated for worms, and have at least their first set of shots. For these reasons, my vet had no problem with me stockpiling Vetsulin. The original diagnosis was severe nerve root compression at L7/S1, and I bet if we did an MRI right now we'd find not only that, but some kind of injury further up in the thoracic region due to semi-regular hopping. But alas, the supply has dwindled.

She has a new book out (which I am reading right now) called One Good Dog. A feral kitten captured and neutered by a small non-profit, somewhat militant organization, was on display at our local Massachusetts Society Prevention of Cruelty Association branch, which often took these feral cats in the hope of finding homes for them.
