On March 11th, RPA sent the governors of all 50 states a letter and two factsheets urging them to help get their land-grant universities (LGUs) out of the meat industry. Take a moment to tell your governor you agree we must get our LGUs out of the meat industry. Many say you can’t eat meat and be an environmentalist.

None of those approve of a vegan diet and all it took was one conversation, and me hearing that "they have to eat meat" from people who believe people "have to eat meat" to know that the issue wasn't ever going to be resolved. Back to the questions: Do you arm yourself with research and go to the vet to educate him/her?

My objection is: Why do such research when you don't need to? Like when they're about to be, say, slaughtered? Not to mention the reality that there is so much more involved in being bred for slaughter than pain, and none of that is addressed. Why kill and maim and waste taxpayer dollars--or any dollars--on such things?
