People of all ages and backgrounds brighten the ride and the book as they welcome Dorian to their homes (his blog asked for shelter and people responded, he also used a biking home-share group and motels) and help him find elusive birds (although Dorian is mostly on his own, there are occasions when help is crucial).

The event is to be held at Pacha on Thursday, October 22, 2009, and all funds raised will benefit the city’s broad rescue, shelter and adoption services. Last year, AC&C hosted over 200 guests and raised $85,000 for the Animal Care cause.

The sheltered bays of the Coromandel are home to another endemic, the Southern Merganser. There aren’t many mammal ticks on this trip, but the ones you get are pretty remarkable. In order to raise our awareness, to remind us of what we have lost, and to inspire us to fight for Every. It certainly has no known relatives.
