Rather more are killed in collisions with cars. Rabbits have become surprisingly scarce close to home, but I don’t have to go far to see warrens of them, with as many as 30 or 40 in one field. Muntjac venison is very good to eat, but despite this, not many are shot. and Mountain Hares in Scotland and Scandinavia.

Keep finding decapitated mice/rats under car

5 or 6 times over the last year I have found decapitated or otherwise "dissassembled" mice or small rats near or under my car. Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, rabbits. And I could even see that being the case even with the lack of consumption as I've known cats that killed for sport but didn't eat the prey.
