It is free to enter Serendip Sanctuary and as you drive or walk up the road into the parking area there are opportunities to see kangaroos and wallabies as you can see above. Many visitors appear to do the short walks, so you can enjoy the area mostly alone other than the wildlife. The sanctuary is open from 8am-4pm daily.

I was looking out a car window the other day and noticed that of all the wildlife most of it was bird. What we see here, however, is both: Most of the mammals at this small end of the graph are nocturnal, and there is clearly a lack of overlap in body size for many species. A squirrel skittered by … a squirrel is not a bird.
