Finally, I'm pretty sure I'm not in his demographic, but I've seen a lot of tweeting about people going vegan after watching Onision.

I looked online and all I could find was this article on The Vegetarian Site. Trader Joe's, a national specialty grocer, offers a large range of vegan and soy products.

Hal Herzog’s “ Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat ” (Harper 2011), though fascinating, is ultimately depressing for vegans and animal rights activists. Well, as it turns out neither a trip to a slaughterhouse nor killing an animal yourself is powerful enough to make people go vegan. But I’m merely making his point.

I receive frequent e-mails from readers asking how everything's going, so here's an update and some cautionary information. So he is being re-veganized (Violet's already vegan), as long as his back and leg aren't adversely affected. At least Emily the kitty, though not at all skinny, had an uneventful year. What a relief!

In his fresh and candid first post (available here ), Jonathan admitted that he is struggling with the issue of ethical vegetarianism. If eating meat were essential for our survival, then the hundreds of millions of vegetarians worldwide would have long since died out, but they haven't. They are alive and well.
