Not sure why they spend time in Shanghai in winter when they could come here though, but then again, I usually do not understand most of the behavior of humans either. Tiphys died either of a snakebite or of a mysterious illness but he was not killed by either a tiger or a rhinoceros. Lucky him, right?

The researchers are quite aware of the differences between humans and birds and thus have completely ignored another explanation for this behavior. The Hair-crested Drongo is a bit more common here.

eBird states that “small white patch on throat is not obvious and difficult to see” And they use a photo that I submitted as main illustration, so they must be right. Thank god that this does not apply to humans. Sometimes being a member of the human race feels very embarrassing. It just looks stupid.
