She's napping right now, diaper free. She has very few pieces of clothing (and most are secondhand) and many of her books and toys are secondhand (and we had to weed through them for animal use). I may be a vegan and an atheist, but I'm really just a parent doing the best I can to give my child the best life possible.

On "High in the Clouds"

I understand this is a children's book, but particularly if you're trying to be a voice for animals, it would behoove you to make connections that might be missed otherwise. For instance, the animals are enslaved. I'm giving the book a vegan/animal rights message because that's my lens. Or any vegan message.

As for categories, I never got that one right, either. It facilitates discussion when the most recent comments are right there on the home page and all you have to do is click on them to chime in.
