Ocala, Florida This is Sassy she had been brought into a local vet's office in Georgia, the owner wanted to euthanize her due to just not wanting Sassy anymore, due to owner being pregnant, that's it nothing else! Well the vet refused to euthanize a healthy dog. Sassy was posted on reddit & found a home.

Located in Florida: Today I was walking my dogs and noticed a big gathering of vultures surrounding a raccoon. I assume it will either die, or recover (if it doesn’t have rabies) and that there’s nothing else I or a vet can do for it right? Need some advice / help.

Violet Rays was a very successful competitor and the offspring of a Hall of Famer, and she made someone a lot of money, winning race after race for the two years she was hauled between Oregon and South Florida. We spent the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005 getting fired by vet after vet. She's our 62-pound miracle.

She verified the bird’s identity and told me that the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Shores, Florida was one of the few places equipped to handle this species. The next call I made was to a very good friend who is a pilot, hoping that he would know someone willing to fly the bird from Connecticut to Florida.

Fortunately, Singapore is not Florida, where Mr. DeSantis would probably have the two birds described in a paper culled (though the paper talks about “aberrant” behavior, which is a phrase Mr. DeSantis would probably feel comfortable with). They have been found nesting in two of these boxes, producing five chicks in three years ( source ).
