The monkeys made sense; many species of apes and monkeys are adaptable to many climates and are similar to humans in terms of anatomy. This got me thinking about giraffes living in any part of the US, and I read some reports saying they do live in wildlife preserves in Florida pretty successfully. The giraffes did not.

The mother only returns once maybe twice a day to feed and some species of rabbits like the eastern Cottontail have their babies in the open rather than burrows. 2) If the rabbit is in danger such as from your cat or dog try to release it out of the perimeter. More than 50,000 Sandhill Cranes stop to feed while migrating during the fall and winter between Wisconsin and Florida. To me, this is like giving a child a baby rabbit as a birthday present, and then when Harvey proves to be a bit too much to care for, bumping him off in front of her. The state’s response? It’s bad PR.

You know the famous novel about rabbits , wherein among other things the traveling bunnies find themselves in a warren where everyone is well fed and happy, and that’s a problem. It turns out that there is an example of this with wading birds in the Florida Everglades. There is bird version of this in the Everglades.
