Not bad given that the 5 families in the inner circle of the laughingthrush family have a combined number of about 68 species. ” As well as in Southeast Asia, there are also Spotted Laughingthrushes (photos taken at Longcanggou and Wolongshan, Sichuan) at the San Diego Zoo. It seems his family of 5, had rented a condo that sleeps 8, at Atlantis Resort, on Paradise Island, in the Bahamas. While this trip was primarily scheduled as a family rest/rest/vacation outing, with 13 days left in my Little Big Year, that plan is mostly out of the question. If we could get there, all other expenses were covered.

The locals have been pretty magnificent, organising a watch in order to keep people back away from the bird and alerting dog walkers to keep their pets under control. There were lots of families with kids, and a van from a local old people’s home, a real cross section of society all intrigued by the visitor.

Dogs are likely to be true-born wet-nurses; in particular, it is related to whelp dogs, which are often used as step-mothers for young predators in the Zoos.
