Somebody told me about Barn Hill Preserve of Delaware where you can pay to "swim with otters" and pet a kangaroo. After watching Tiger King and having my eyes opened to the world of shady exotic animal "rescue" zoos/sanctuaries (i.e. My wife is obsessed with otters.

A farm-animal breeder who ran what a prosecutor called "the zoo from hell" was convicted Tuesday of animal cruelty. At the time of the raid, Rockland County prosecutor Anthony Dellicarri described the property as "kind of like a petting zoo gone out of control" and "the zoo from hell.".

When I was a child, 9-10 years old I went to a zoo, and there was a lynx, who kept on being aggressive whenever he saw me. The second time it happens again when I was around 11, I went to a zoo and the tiger/I don’t remember the animal exactly, got aggressive too as if they were ready to attack. I had pets before and they loved me.

” As well as in Southeast Asia, there are also Spotted Laughingthrushes (photos taken at Longcanggou and Wolongshan, Sichuan) at the San Diego Zoo. “ San Diego Zoo ” is also a nice song by the 6ths (mostly Stephin Merritt, in this song with Barbara Manning singing). There probably is a Billy Bragg song about them.

If you live in Australia, do not even think of getting this bird as a pet, as “99.99% of these Galahs sold in Australian markets are trapped from the wild” (source). I guess the females feel that the blue of the bower treasures works well with their eyes.

Dogs are likely to be true-born wet-nurses; in particular, it is related to whelp dogs, which are often used as step-mothers for young predators in the Zoos.

The Giant Laughingthrush is a bit of a disappointment in that it is not really big enough to eat you (or even a pet cat), even though that is what one would expect from an animal with the Giant part in its name. Louis, USA, you can see the species at your local zoo. Maybe the species has shrunk in the past few decades.
