Many birds around the world in the Robin family ( Turdidae ) are favorites due to their musical songs. Little boys kill thousands of birds each year with slingshots. Sadly there are 4 million healthy adoptable companion animals killed in shelters each year due to overcrowding. As of this summer we have now made it easy for our visitors to find pets and then recommend them to friends and family via Facebook, Twitter and other social applications. We are calling the idea “Social Petworking.”

Generally the large family herds of buffalo are peaceful, but the old bulls (called “dagga” boys, “dagga” being a Zulu word for “mud” since they are often covered with the substance after their long wallows) who have left the herds tend to be furious with life in general and anyone they can smash in particular.
