I was browsing for some quotes when I came across this group - The National Animal Interest Alliance (NAIA). The quotes seemed designed to show them as extremists and/or insincere liars. So, I'm like, waaaaaait a minute.

I don't support animal research and I have no sympathy for animal researchers. I think they are clever cowards who use extremists to hide their work and to obfuscate the truth about what they do to animals and whether it is truly necessary. I would never advocate violence against a researcher.

Lanthier, a veterinarian and walrus researcher who took the helm in Calgary two years ago, says the cancellation of the polar bears exhibit might please some animal-rights extremists, but the reality is a blow to Canada's white bears. Clement Lanthier, Calgary Zoo president and CEO (is this a corporation??) sounds like a real jerk.
