Eating a Pigeon

10,000 Birds

Best Bird of the Weekend (Third of April 2013)

10,000 Birds

Denied a Ruff, I had to make to do with a very handsome, very obliging, very early Hooded Warbler at Oakland Lake in Queens. If you’ve blogged about your weekend experience, you should include a link in your comment. The bonus Donna sighting at the same location made the trip worth it! How about you?

Birding In Low Places

10,000 Birds

The water this Northern Pintail is in has human poo in it, which completely ruins the experience of seeing this bird. This bird perenially winters on Lake Merritt, in the middle of Oakland, CA.
