I came across these stories about two different medical experiments using mice. Aren't there better things to research? Plus, are mice comparable to kids (although I would prefer mice subjects to primates who are so much more sensitive)? In this experiment, scientists tested whether lighting can cause depression.

Around 12 million animals are used each year in the European Union (EU) for research purposes. This became clear from a report addressed at the European Parliament (EP) session on May 5–7, which seeks to vote on a directive concerning animal research. I really hope this passes.

She supports medical research on animals. One scene has the author entering the part of the hospital where the research animals are. This woman, who I now mentally call "THE VIVISECTOR," defended medical research. The descriptions of the research subjects are very roundabout, but still horrific to me.

Her letter to the Indian research facility is pretty distressing. Former Baywatch star and model Pamela Anderson has accused one of India's most prestigious research centres of animal cruelty, urging it to retire decades-old test monkeys and adopt humane practices. Sounds like she watched a harsh video.
