They frequently reuse nest holes, thus saving vital natural resources even though cleaning out the used nest hole takes about one week ( source ). A kingfisher with a somewhat deficient work ethic, I guess. The hornbills of Sukau are featured in a separate post – they are one of the main attractions of this location though.
