In the mid 1700s, fur-traders began introducing foxes up and down the Aleutian chain, in order to generate some more raw material work with. A curious Laysan Duck takes a stroll at Midway Atoll. Laysan Ducks don’t seem to be as tied to water as other ducks, which makes sense considering the limited habitat available.

A White-necked Heron had found a good area in among the reeds alongside a pair of Pacific Black Ducks. Euros are shaggy, heavy built marsupials with hair rather than fur and male Euro can weigh up to 55 kilograms. White-necked Heron. Radjah Shelduck.
