I found a stray kitten on Friday night and was playing with it. My husband told me to not touch it, but I’ve held stay cats/dogs before and nothing has ever happened (yes he told me “I told you so”…I don’t need for you to tell me this too).

Found what seems to be a fledgling sparrow, and I know you aren’t meant to move them, however the place it was at happened to be where my dog is and where stray cats seem to sneak through.

Has anyone, as a child, ever hurt animals like pelting stray cats and dogs with stones? And once the deed is done you start repenting your vile act. I used to do this when I was a kid. But now, I would give my life to protect them. Have done a bit of rescue volunteering in the past.

If you work full time and already have a dog, you can always request a dog-friendly foster pet who is house-trained. That could involve teaching a dog to stay off the couch or walk better on leash, or teaching a cat to welcome other pets or to play, or simply to teach trust and love. If a cat is playing, it’s not meowing!
