My 7mo sheepadoodle mini puppy is recovering from being neutered on Monday. The vet suggested hydrogen peroxide washes once it's been a few days but I don't like using that because it can kill some of the healthy cells as well, I've always been told not to put H.P. I feel bad for him. on wounds.

Owen County Friends of Animals (KY) is a non-profit organization that fosters and seeks adoptions for the dogs picked up by their local dog warden. Dogs they can not place in foster care or find adoptive homes for are euthanized after 14 days by county ordinance. He has been vetted and is healing nicely.

Most shelter animals are spayed or neutered, have been treated for worms, and have at least their first set of shots. Shift-It Tip: If you’re set on a purebred dog or cat, buy one from a rescue association instead of getting a pedigree from a breeder. Good for You: Save time driving and sitting in waiting rooms at the vet office.

From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. Dogs have died from hypoglycemia due to Vetsulin and there is a class action lawsuit. For these reasons, my vet had no problem with me stockpiling Vetsulin.
