These three groups are already operating mobile veterinary clinics and other services in Haiti, and planning to go to Chile when they’re allowed in: IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). American Humane and ARCH (Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti). They also have a foundation to help pets in Haiti.

The dog-loving owners of the property in Julian where he sought refuge rushed him to the local veterinarian, who informed them that if his leg was amputated, he could live as an indoor cat. Cathy and Donna, the staunchly dog-only people, decided to bring the kitten home with them to help him heal after the successful amputation of his leg.

Haiti doesn't allow people from the Church of the Latter-Day Saints to adopt. As a vegan, having a diabetic dog involves making decisions that make me uncomfortable. And that food has led to a decrease in her insulin dose (as also happens with humans), so I know it's improving her health (she'll be ten in a couple of weeks!).
