So yes, I needed to see this beast, this flying door, this scourge of all things’ geese, this modern Roc. Skeins of Greylag Geese completed the picture. Nowadays, the numbers are being controlled through culling. Beyond the railway thousands of geese were feeding, mainly Greylag Goose and Barnacle Goose. It was awful.
