Part of the world they wanted to transport was natural. One such individual was Sir George Grey, who liberated many animals on his estate (mercifully on an island), including wildebeest, monkeys, zebras, wallabies, deer, cassowaries, emu and kookaburras. We don’t have monkeys, or wildebeest, or salmon here.

Birds and football! What a combination!

Below are a few suggestions of sites within the city that can easily be reached using public transport. There is no transport inside the park and all travel must be on foot. Look out for the Howler Monkeys too. The park is sited close to a poor district of town and I suspect that these areas provide much of the river’s content.
