Lookout view to “The Prom” The old train station building at Foster is now a Men’s Shed , but the old train station at Fish Creek is the Community Garden. Fish Creek train station building. They often nip back and forth onto the trail collecting food. They are sometimes very high up in the trees.

Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan

On the first trip in 2012 we used public transport to get there and the train conveniently gets you to Macarthur Square shopping centre and you can then get a bus that drops you right at the entrance to the park. It was interesting to see how few blue items it had been able to collect in that environment. Satin Bowerbird -female.

I would recommend this if you are going to be out and about and most stations have regular trains all day including Sundays. If you are going to a small place you do need to check that you are not getting on a train with “limited stops” or you will end up back-tracking! The gully was really quite steep in places.
