Let's deconstruct: Legal experts in China are proposing a ban on the eating of dogs and cats. Where do people get that idea?

He's right with his implication that stopping the seizing of pets and strays simply created a more efficient, effective means of commodifying and torturing dogs and cats. But there is a significant contingent who is not as enamored with the Laboratory Animal Welfare Act as he is. It "guarantees humane treatment?" Maybe on paper.

Farm animals also benefit from the humane farming movement, even if the animal welfare changes it effects are not all that we should hope and work for.
