Dauphine works at the National Zoo studying wild birds, where her research has focused on one of birds’ enemies: cats. Here’s hoping that Dauphine has her name cleared.

Eventually one evening driving home I was shocked to get good views of a clapper wandering about my car park (I’m fairly sure it was sneaking my neighbours’ cats food too). Also frequent escapees (or very free ranging domestics) are guinea fowl and to a lesser extent a number of other gamebirds up to and including peacocks.
