Wolfe Creek Crater birding

We were surprised to observe Zebra Finch , because there did not appear to be any water, but they could have been accessing water on the station and coming to the crater for food. It is of course the food of the Night Parrot , but none were observed on this occasion! Camel bush. Heading around the rim. The rim trail.

Birding the Dampier Downs Road

Crested Pigeons and Diamond Doves flew across the track in search of water and there were also Zebra Finch and Long-tailed Finch. Red-winged Parrots are often camouflaged until they fly across the track and there were several pairs along the track. Two distant Pied Honeyeaters. Velliia panduriformis.
