Depending on a visitor’s luck, one can see moose and wolves, hear Boreal Owls or Townsend’s Warblers. They can be boiled or roasted like potatoes, and they can also be pounded into a flour. That was then. Today, the camas fields rest protected in the vast bosom of the Clearwater National Forest.

Where else but in Wyoming will you find Peacocks and a Buffalo together? You know, the Bison, Elk, Bears and Wolves. No matter how controversial the re-introduction of Wolves into Yellowstone is, to be able to not only see them, but to photograph a small group is a huge thrill. The fourth one is just out of this picture).

Madikwe; Paradise Restored

It’s the only park I have ever been to that not only have I seen all five of the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, African Buffalo, White Rhino and African Elephant) in, but seen them all on the same day. The park also has Cheetahs and Painted Wolves (and while I didn’t see the later, they are fairly reliable). Or Cheetahs.
