This Grey-capped Pygmy Woodpecker in particular is a species I would like to get much better photos of. But then, I am not a cooperative breeder either (nor a non-cooperative one, should this term exist). While the female is less hidden, sadly, it is also less attractive. Such a cute bird deserves a better representation.

And of course, some Chinese researchers worked on the complete mitochondrial genome of the Greater Coucal. Are these the paper mills one occasionally reads about in relation to Chinese research papers? Sepilok is a good place to see a number of woodpecker species. I think they just got what they deserved.
