Nicaraguan Grackle only lives in marshes around Lake Nicaragua. I guess that isn’t too surprising since a quick 30 minute float down the river goes right into Nicaragua. Mid-day birding was predictably slow but we still picked up Red-breasted Blackbird , Snail Kite , and a few other species. We had several Least Bitterns.
