I am only including them in this post to give you my real-life Kabul experience … Four species are the most easily seen in the few urban parks (into which women are not actually allowed to enter – I am not sure about female birds).

Lake Apopka – Florida’s Inland Rarity Hotspot

Lake Apopka Restoration Area in Lake County Florida is fast-becoming one of the best bird magnets in all of Florida. The high nutrient loading led to massive and unprecedented algal blooms which in turn killed productive plants and changed the once crystal-clear lake into pea soup. Additionally, 367 bird species have been recorded.
