But one of the most important aspects of these advances in new-age birding is the fact that they have grown hand-in-hand with the almost exponential growth in citizen science. So I've been thinking alot lately

While I am a science geek through and through (chemical compounds and reactions are very interesting). I love spiders, I've owned many snakes as pets, my favorite mammal is arguably the Opposum (I think they're so cute, whereas here in the south people hate them and dont understand their importance), bats, frogs, all animals really.

Poop From The Front End Of The Bird

There was also a mammal jawbone in the pellet too. I stuffed it in my pocket and decided to take it to Richard Oehlenschlager at the Science Museum of Minnesota. I wasn’t as interested in the mammal jawbone, but it totally piqued his interest. But the jawbone…that was from a bat! Was that a cardinal beak?
