Yesterday evening I got home from the second Swarovski Skills Camp at Lake Neusiedl in the east of Austria. I am still tired from the long drive, but it was great to play with the very best toys for birders, to be able to share experiences and to ask the factory staff all sorts of silly questions. impressive for Central Europe.

We had met before, so when he encountered me in Austria he asked me what I was doing there. These binoculars were made at Leica’s factory in Portugal. In fact, the photographer, Christoph Malin (who normally spends his time doing/photographing craziness on mountain bikes ) lives in the same village as our factory. But then again, those are some pretty hard acts to follow. So it is not just that the images are beautiful, it is also that they were taken right here! <<

Hence the psychological continuum described (below) by Austria's Association Against Animal Factories from about a year ago. I like the idea of remembering that an individual's mind and that individual's behavior can be perfectly dissonant without causing life-threatening damage or problems for that person.
