Rescuers from the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW – www.ifaw.org ) have mobilized to Japan to conduct an assessment and assist with animal rescue efforts following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan. This will allow IFAW and NARSC colleagues to identify long-term animal relief projects in Japan.

Pronghorn Antelope populations once exceeded 30 million animals, but by the turn of the century, was down to just a few small bands. The population is now estimated to be at over 500.
