The 10-year-old Boa was pregnant and had been raised by McAdam since it was a baby. Reptiles that are not treated ethically simply do not make good pets. Those snakes felt the same pain & suffering that a bunch of tortoises would've felt in the same situation. Chris Coffee did not commit any criminal acts.
