The 10-year-old Boa was pregnant and had been raised by McAdam since it was a baby. Reptiles that are not treated ethically simply do not make good pets. If the FWC killed 35 tortoises on video, it would be on mainstream news. The Boa was still alive & in pain 20 minutes after they crushed its skull.

If meat-eating should ever become confined to those who do not care about animal suffering then compassionate farming would cease. All animals would be kept in battery conditions and the righteous vegetarians would exert no economic pressure on farmers to change their ways. Duty requires us, therefore, to eat our friends.
