I don't support animal research and I have no sympathy for animal researchers. I don't believe they are working for human welfare. I don't believe they want an honest dialogue about what they are doing to animals. I don't believe they are "brave" for "standing up" to animal rights activists.

How many people know this about the Animal Welfare Act? No wonder there is so much "farm" animal abuse out there. Humane treatment runs counter to the entire industry when the point is to make money by processing these animals as fast as possible. Most animals in the U.S. I certainly didn't.

It sounds like they are calling for an animal abuse equivalent of the sex offender registry. Wouldn't you want to know if a violent or repeat animal abuser were living next door to you and your family? Communities have good reason to be concerned about the whereabouts of animal abusers.
