Aside from the breed’s abuses, one finds that adopting out this breed is highly difficult. Many shelters do not intake pit bulls at all, and many of the shelters that do find themselves limited in their intake by state regulations or their own policies that dictate pit bull capacity. For people who own dogs and other creatures, their recourse is to leave the animals in a shelter, pound or simply let them loose. The SPCA, Lothnianís Animal Rescue and Rehoming Center have taken custody of the animal and are providing it with care. An animal shelter or animal rescue center are good options.
