The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Joplin Humane Society successfully found permanent homes for 745 pets during its weekend adopt-a-thon event on June 25 and 26. to adopt hundreds of animals in the aftermath of last month’s devastating tornado.

The event is called the Purina ONE Tour For Heroes, and you can see if they are coming to your city by vising tourforheroes.marthastewart.com. At each stop, Purina ONE will give out free Purina ONE dog and cat food to all attendees (11,000 bags across the nation), and also host adoption events at local shelters.
