Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) declared the Golden-cheeked Warbler “ endangered ” under the Endangered Species Act. The judge promptly dismissed the first and third arguments because they did not relate to whether the warbler should or should not be listed under the Endangered Species Act.

Will the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) conference delegates up-list them to Appendix I of the Convention, forbidding any future sale over international borders? One may say so. And it gave me a hope.

FWS evidently objected to this proposal, noting the proximity to the refuge and the area’s importance as a migratory corridor for many species of birds. A handful of endangered species have been observed at the refuge (or in the vicinity) as well. There are nesting Bald Eagles in the area as well.

Singapore is a densely populated city-state which still manages to protect a number of species. I went to Ethiopia. I bought a house.

Part of its obscurity is due to the fiercely protective relationship Cologne has with its beer.
