Iams and longtime partner Helen Woodward Animal Center, along with more than 3,500 animal organizations from around the world once again joined forces to help reduce pet homelessness. 23,051 other animals (including rabbits, reptiles, horses, birds and more). The 2011 program will begin in October. 509,470 cats.

Rock & Rawhide has been working with the city facilities to help increase awareness and adoption rates since their founding in late 2011. From February 25 through the end of March, the adoption fee will be just $20 for cats and rabbits, and $50 for dogs. They are New York’s Kindest.”

Rats arrived on ships and cats, foxes and rabbits were all introduced and they were all detrimental to the bird population. In 2011 they appeared all over Australia in much larger numbers than previously experienced and these unknown populations are always a pleasant surprise.
