About a year ago I posted information about the launch of a new stem cell therapy for dogs ( Vet-Stem ). Since the launch Vet-Stem has treated more that 1800 dogs and more than 5,000 animals total. Vet-stem also recently announced that they will now be offering a cell culturing service.

In 2009 I met my best friend. I couldn’t afford to take her to the vet and I was too blind to realize she was even sick, likely calling for help. I took her to the vet only when I fully comprehended how bad she was getting. She was a black cat about 2-3 years old. I started being mean to her.

The DDF will be raising $20,000 for the training and care of a service dog (including medical bills, training and food) which will be donated to one lucky war vet from the FSD group. The vet who is awarded the service dog will be choosing the winning raffle ticket for the Jeep on September 11 at a ceremony (location TBD).

As many of you know, 2009 was chock full of creature-related drama for me. For these reasons, my vet had no problem with me stockpiling Vetsulin. The vets say that Charles' condition doesn't warrant another surgery, and that sometimes it takes a couple of years (!) But alas, the supply has dwindled.
