The surprise truce in Ohio follows stronger limits imposed by California voters in 2008; there, extreme caging methods will be banned altogether by 2015.

Farm Animals Help Alleviate Mental Illness

The study was released in April 2008, but I think it is still worth noting. A new study, published online in Clinical Practice and Epidemiology in Mental Health, suggests that animal assisted therapy for people with mental disorders can be effective with farm animals. Rydalch said the raid consisted of releasing minks and spray-painting parts of the farm, including a barn. .: One message is that there's nothing wrong with eating animals, and in fact it's fantastic and thrilling and a win-win-win (people-planet-profits) when you eat animals that were "produced" by Polyface Farms. The moral of the story is that it's all about the way we farm animals, not that we farm them that is what needs changing.
