The International Primate Protection League was active in exposing and urging prosecution of this case. Although this park was logged in the past, as a national park it is one of the few forests in Ghana that is really protected. . All these forests are in “protected” forest reserves, however at some, logging permits are reportedly being issued for harvesting of these forests. What makes Ghana so special?
