There is a wonderful site called UAE Birding , that makes a great reference once you have decided how much time you have to spare and it carries a list of part-time guides who may be able to show you around. My personal list for Safa Park runs to 40+, but upwards of 200 species have been recorded here over the years.

The most valuable site I found was UAE Birding , an excellent site full of location guides, recent sightings, and a busy forum where its members discuss all aspects of birdiness in the area. The location was a good spot to see Arabian Oryx, a species I hoped to see but didn’t. So there would be some birding.

beats have still managed to share 82 checklists and accounted for 737 species. Our two newest contributors have shared from Mexico and China, bringing the countries birded this month (also including; Costa Rica, Greece, Serbia, USA, UK, India, UAE and New Zealand) to 10.
