More importantly, it is a fantastic area to watch birds in its own right. We soon located two nests of Eastern Barn Owls , but were unable to find the Sooty Owls that make the site a drawn for many birders. The highlight of the night was a Striped Possum, a large squirrel sized possum with black and white striped fur.
